More info

The 1999 Clos Château de Rayne Vigneau is a Bordeaux syrupy white wine from the Sauternes appellation.

Founded in the 17th century by Gabriel de Vigneau, this First Growth Sauternes spreads over a 62-ha vineyard ideal for producing great wines. Château de Rayne Vigneau was considered for a long time as Château d'Yquem's rival, known for producing exceptionally long ageing wines.

Produced mainly from Sémillon with added Sauvignon, Château de Rayne Vigneau's syrupy wines are highly sought-after by lovers of rare and ancient syrupy wines, especially from great vintages such as this bottle from 1999.
