Clos de tart

Like Romanée-Conti, Domaine du Clos de Tart is named after its prestigious vineyard. It spreads over 7.5 ha of vines, monopole of the Momessin family and Sylvain Pitiot, steward since 1995.

This vineyard, created in 1141, has had only 3 owners : Tart Abbey's Bernardines Convent, the Marey-Monge family and its current owner.

Clos de Tart was never divided and had an off-peak period in the early 1970s and 1980s. However, thanks to many investments, it regained its strenght and produced some of the greatest Bourgogne wines, highly sought-after by lovers of staple bottles.
