1937 produced an excellent vintage, which was very successful for most french vineyards.
Thanks to a warm year with little rain, Bordeaux produced strong, full-bodied red wines with excellent ageing potentials. Sauternes wines are perfect and can be preserved for a very long time. Described as exceptional, this wines are serious and rich.
1937 produced the best vintage of the decade in Bourgogne. The red Bourgogne wines are mature, rich, elegant, majestic and perfectly well-balanced.
In Champagne, the wines are mature and full-bodied with a very nice ageing potential. Vallée du Rhône was also very successful and produced generous, powerful and well-balanced wines with a great ageing potential.
Alsace produced a very fine 1937 vintage, same goes for Loire and its fabulous syrupy wines.
As you can imagine, getting hold of a beautiful 1937 bottle is an excellent idea to celebrate a happy event.
