Rare wine - Vintage 1962

1962 produced a very nice vintage with fine and elegant wines with good ageing potentials, thanks to mild weather conditions in France.

Bordeaux produced qualitative and quantitative wines. Even with a late harvest, Bordeaux wines are rich and abundant with a good ageing potential, which makes them quite affordable.

1962 was very good in Champagne, producing a quality product despite a mild austerity which takes over slightly.

In Bourgogne, red and white wines are excellent but in small quantitites. Corton Charlemagne, Richebourg, Chambertin, Meursault and Musigny are outstanding successes.

In the Rhône Valley, excellent red wines were produced, Hermitage and Côte Rôtie for example, which are some of the best and deserve to be purchased.

In Alsace, 1962 wines are fine and display a bright and intense color with well-balanced tannins, acidity and alcohol levels.

If you wish to celebrate a happy event, offer a bottle or simply spoil yourself, why not purchase a fine 1962 wine ?
