If 2009 and 2010 showed exceptional qualities, 2011 is remarkable in its originality!
This vintage's uniqueness is a result of unfavorable weather conditions which made the vine care even more delicate than usual. In certain regions, winter was very harsh and flowering started early due to a very warm spring. When the heat wave came in June, grapes were already well developed. Many parcels suffered from scalding damages, affecting yields. Alternating periods of heavy rains and sunshine, especially in the southwest region, created disease outbreaks.
Thanks to the talent and tenacity of our winemakers and their teams, 2011 was still very promising. Excellent wines were produced in every wine-growing areas. Jura wines are a very good example.
In the end, this premature year offers a light, fruity and straightforward wine, missing in structure and depth but still very enjoyable. It has the advantage of being ready to drink right away. Let yourself be surprised by the 2011 vintage!
