Grands vins - Portugal

Portugal owes its reputation to Porto and Madeira wines. However, it now produces great dry red wines, and, increasingly attractive whites. Extending over a 237 000-hectare surface, the vineyard of Portugal sees, according to its wine’s vintage, its production raised to 7 500 000 hl distributed as such: 69 % of red and rosé wines, and 31 % of white wines.

The culture of the vines is made throughout the whole country apart from the zones with high mountains. Reminder that the northern regions house the vastest and the most renowned Portuguese vineyard where you can find Vinho Verde and Porto.
