In Bordeaux, the weather conditions help the vine to better handle the summer drought and warmth. The red wines are tannic and powerful. The white wines are very powerful and show a promising ageing potential, keeping a beautiful acidity despite an extensive maturation of the fruit.
In Bourgogne, 2018 produced a good vintage overall. The region received good amounts of rain in the winter followed by a mild spring and very warm and dry summer. The Bourgogne red wines are beautiful with bold, supple tannins. The south of Bourgogne produced well-balanced, satisfying white wines.
In Champagne, the wines are surprising in their balance of tastes. The 2018 vintage is a success for pinot noir and produced an interesting sparkling wine.
If you are looking for a beautiful bottle to celebrate a special event, the 2018 vintage is a sure bet.
Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. Great Bordeaux wine.
