Thanks to favorable weather conditions, the harvests were fruitful and high quality. Bordeaux produced massive red wines, well concentrated and rich with a good ageing potential. Many Châteaux produced rich, fine wines.
In Bourgogne, the harvests were plentiful but not always as qualitative. Some very good wines were produced anyway, they are very rich and fruity.
1934 produced the best vintage in the south of Vallée du Rhône, the summer heat promoted fruit maturation, producing rich and well-rounded wines.
