Château Calon-Ségur

Château Calon-Ségur is a prestigious domaine of 74 ha producing great Saint-Estèphe wines. The produced red wines, ranked as Third Growth in 1855, are composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. They are famous for their powerful aroma and excellent ageing potential. The estate is currently owned by Mme Gasqueton. Château Calon-Ségur is named after its former owner from the 18^th century Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur who owned other mythical domaines such as Château Latour and Lafite, now both wine legends.
