Family winery created in the 18th century with the Groult family's establishment at Clos de la Hurvanière on the Pays d'Auge heights, the first Calvados only appeared in 1860 when Pierre Groult decided to distill his usual cider.

The Calvados quality from Maison Groult was very quickly acknowledged by Calvados lovers in the world and rewarded with its first gold medal in 1893.

Au-droit-de-bouchon.com is very proud to offer for sale this extremely rare bottle of 1869 Calvados « Réserve Ancestrale, Age Séculaire » from the famous Maison Roger Groult, a bottle from the 19th century in an exceptional state of conservation, from a family of wine merchants in the Hauts de France region.

The color of this calvados is simply beautiful, the wax seal showcasing the vintage is very slightly worn down and the wax sealed cork is in exceptional condition (please feel free to check the different pictures). We are available for any additional information.
