Château Rabaud-Promis

Château Rabaud-Promis is a prestigious domaine producing great wines from the mythical Sauternes appellation. The produced syrupy white wines, ranked as First Growth in 1855, are composed of 80% sémillon, 18% sauvignon blanc and 2% muscadelle. They are opulent, spicy and luxurious wines, very appreciated by wine lovers. The vines are based on a gravel and clay soil, favorable to the production of high-quality wines. In the 19th century, Château Rabaud-Promis and Sigalas-Rabaud's vines formed a single domaine. In 1972, the vineyard was cared for by Philippe Dejean, husband of a descendant of the previous owner André Promis. He made important investments on the property and allowed Château Rabaud-Promis to develop its excellent reputation further.
